Reid Lane Spec House | Project Spotlight

This beautiful spec home was built by Hask Construction. The design features large open floor plan with delightful architectural details at every turn. The space features Showplace inset cabinetry and Emtek hardware.

Designing a spec house is tricky, the design needs to appeal to the masses but also has character and charm and doesnt look like a builder grade home. The exterior of the house combined the perfect combination of white brick, rustic stone and black trim and offered an open floor plan.

The house had striking details we wanted to enhance the features with a neutral design palette that worked well with the open floor plan. For the kitchen we opted for soft white beaded inset cabinets on the perimeter and a large island in a rich brown stain that complimented the beautiful hardware and beams through out.

The open floor plan played a part in the overall schematic, we wanted something that was neutral enough to work with future homeowners design style and furniture tastes.
